WK 8 PROVE IT.

There is always a lot of talk about "Who is the best in College Football?" and "How can we tell?" Well here are the teams that are all talk so far and the teams who have proven it on the field. For me, PROVING IT, means a team has beaten quality teams and has played well in tough environments. This list will heavily favor road wins against top teams.

PROVE IT

1 OHIO STATE - The Buckeyes once again didn't look great on the road, but they did win. They have another road game this Saturday at Wisconsin.

5 Ole Miss - The Rebels have looked pretty good this season but still have yet to PROVE IT to us in a big way. Their first opportunity will be in Athens on the 18th.

6 Oklahoma - The Sooners have won two nice home games but they still have yet to PROVE IT in a tough environment. They have a rough schedule the rest of the way though and it starts with hosting Texas this week.

10 LSU - The Tigers had their first chance in Oxford and got handled pretty well. The scoreboard didn't show it, but that was a pretty dominant win by the Rebels. The Tigers go to Vandy on Saturday.

PROVEN

2 MIAMI - The 'Canes won ugly in Tallahassee what should be their only tough road game of the year.

3 INDIANA - IU did it! What a win in Eugene! IU looks to have a playoff spot on lock.

4 Texas A&M - PROVED IT in South Bend and has a couple more coming more coming soon.

6 Alabama - The team with the best wins in the country is sitting at 6th in the AP Poll. BAMA won in Athens and then took care of business at home against Vandy. Then they went to Missouri for another very tough road game and won. Now they host 11 Tennessee for their 4th Top 20 team in a row.

7 Texas Tech - Texas Tech PROVED IT in Utah and seems to be rolling pretty good. They go to a tough Arizona State team Saturday.

8 Oregon - I know the Penn State win looks no good now, but I am not going to take that win away from them. That was a great win. After losing to IU at home though, this team needs to get back on track.

9 Georgia - The Bulldogs won a big one in Tennessee and again at Auburn. They host Mississippi this week in a Top 10 matchup.
