WK 6 PROVE IT.

There is always a lot of talk about "Who is the best in College Football?" and "How can we tell?" Well here are the teams that are all talk so far and the teams who have proven it on the field. For me, PROVING IT, means a team has beaten quality teams and has played well in tough environments. This list will heavily favor road wins against top teams.

PROVE IT

1 OHIO STATE - The Buckeyes have only played one road game and didn't look great doing so. They go to Champaign to play a less than impressive Fighting Illini squad this week.

4 Ole Miss - The Rebels have looked pretty good this season but still have yet to PROVE IT to us in a big way. Their first opportunity will be in Athens on the 18th.

6 Oklahoma - The Sooners have won two nice home games but they still have yet to PROVE IT in a tough environment. They have a rough schedule the rest of the way though and it starts with hosting Texas this week.

7 Indiana - The Hoosiers haven't beaten a tough team yet, but they go to Eugene for a huge opportunity to PROVE IT to the world that they are for real. Sure feels like a 17 point victory by the Ducks though.

11 LSU - The Tigers had their first chance in Oxford and got handled pretty well. The scoreboard didn't show it, but that was a pretty dominant win by the Rebels. The Tigers go to Vandy in 2 weeks.

PROVEN

2 MIAMI - The Canes siezed their lone opportunity to win a tough road game. It was not a pretty win, but they left Tallahassee with a 28-22 victory.

3 OREGON - The Ducks won a big one in State College, but Penn State went to LA and tried to soil their big road win. Nevertheless it was a great win and so good that it beat PSU two weeks in a row. Oregon hosts IU Saturday.

5 Texas A&M - PROVED IT in South Bend and has a couple more coming more coming soon.

8 Alabama - The best or second best win of the season is sitting at 8th in the AP Poll. BAMA won in Athens and then took care of business at home against Vandy. Now they go to Missouri for another very tough road game.

9 Texas Tech - Texas Tech PROVED IT in Utah and seems to be rolling pretty good. They host Kansas this week.

10 Georgia - The Bulldogs won a big one in Tennessee and even though it was ugly they came back in the second half and won a big game in one of the toughest environments in sports. They go to another very tough environment this week as they visit the Auburn Tigers.
