Early Edge

One of the most important pieces of successful sports betting is taking advantage of what I call the Early Edge. Getting the Early Edge means to place a bet on the opening line before more bets come in and change the line. For example, the books set the opening line for Team A vs Team B at Team A -3.5. If you and whatever system you like to use suggests that Team A should be favored by 6.5 or more, then this is a favorable line for Team A and should be bet early. Once you or others place bets on Team A, the books will move the line toward Team A. By the time gameday arrives the line could be Team A -6.5 and the edge you had will have disappeared. This means waiting cause you to lose out on the Early Edge. So come back every Tuesday and to get the Early Edge.

Seahawks +1.5 - The Seahawks should be favored in this one. I don't love taking divisional team on the road, but this Seattle group has had a pair of solid victories since dropping the opener at home. The Cardinals have some injuries and are mistake prone. The Seahawks have a veteran group that plays clean. I am on the Seahawks all the way to -1.

Browns +9.5 - I have said it before and I will say it again, this defense is very good. The team will struggle and will lose plenty of games, but the defense is good enough to stay in it. The Browns just beat one of the most efficient offenses to 10 points. OH! and they WON! They beat the red hot Packers. This Browns team is bad enough to be overlooked, but good enough to surprise you. That's a dangerous combination.

Texans -5.5 - Houston is 0-3. This is a get right game. It's divisional. It's at home. It's a very important game for Houston to prove to themselves that they are a playoff team. The Texans will have a breakthrough game this week and dominate the Titans.

Chargers -4 - This is too low. The Chargers have the best pass defense in the league. The Giants looked good against the Cowboys, but the Cowboys defense is leaving receivers open every play. The Chargers will shut the Giants offense down all game.

Oregon +3.5 - The Ducks might be the best team in the country. This is their first real test. We know that PSU and Franklin struggle to win these big games. I am on the Ducks with any kind of points.

Indiana -5.5 - The Hawkeyes play tough defense, but they don't score very well. It may be tight for some of the game, but IU will pull away in this one.
